Thailand and the
European Union have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic
cooperation amid growing global uncertainty, emphasizing that bilateral
relations still hold significant untapped potential. Speaking at a business
reception in Bangkok, senior Thai officials and the EU ambassador highlighted
trade, technology, and “science diplomacy” as key pillars for future
collaboration. Thailand also acknowledged that political instability in recent
years had weakened its regional competitiveness, but expressed confidence that
renewed political stability and policy continuity would help restore the
country’s position within ASEAN and strengthen ties with Europe.
